About Kanecia Cooks

Kanecia Cooks is a graduate student in the health promotion program at UCCS. She is originally from Colorado Springs and has lived here her whole life. She studied nutrition at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado and received her bachelor’s degree in May of 2020. In her free time, she enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She is very excited to be on the MOSAIC and LGBTQ+ Resource Center team as the graduate assistant and hopes that her passion for equitable health and wellness will allow her to serve as an asset and bring greater support for marginalized populations to the UCCS campus!
