About Xuan Truong

Xuan Truong (she/her) is the Support Programs Specialist for the Multicultural Office of Student Access, Inclusiveness, and Community (MOSAIC) and LGBTQ+ Resource Center. Her dream job has always been to create and cultivate a continual foundation of access for marginalized communities, especially for students who attempt to navigate through academia and in the world beyond.

Xuan is a first-generation, eldest daughter of Vietnamese war immigrants on the East Coast, having earned her bachelor’s degree in German and Comparative Literature from Smith College in 2021, where she was heavily involved in Black, Indigenous, and People of color (BIPOC) programming with her work at the college’s multicultural hub, the Mwangi Cultural Center. She then lived in Germany for two years, earning her master’s degree in English Literature and Literary Theory from the University of Freiburg in 2023.

She enjoys casual nature hikes (which includes stopping to stare at things), urban water coloring and sketching, creative writing, RPG video games, tabletop games (D&D, Cipher, Warhammer Fantasy, Shadowrun) and cooking new recipes before hyper fixating on one that tastes good for three weeks.

Stop by to visit her at the front desk in MOSAIC to say hi—You can’t miss it!
